Thursday, Oct 11, 2007 Posted on Thu, Oct. 11, 2007 Meeting next week to discuss desalination in Cambria Advisers for a national marine sanctuary and members of the public can hear presentations about desalination and the state’s marine protected areas at a meeting Friday, Oct. 19, in Cambria. The Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary’s advisory council will meet at 9 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Building, 1000 Main St. Margaret “P.J.” Webb, Cambria resident and advisory council member, and sanctuary expert Brad Dimitz will present desalination information. Cambria’s planned desalination project would take in and discharge ocean water in areas regulated by the sanctuary and other agencies.
