Opening any new business must be challenging, but when I opened Bayshore Realty, eleven brand new desks sat empty.

And then one day Sandy came in. She was a top producing agent at a franchise office in a nearby community and she said she was ready for a change. We talked.

While I knew of Sandy, I really did not know too much about her. She and her husband had retired from the ABC TV network to Cayucos and she decided to enter the real estate field. She not only obtained an agent's license, but also became a Broker.

At the same time, Sandy and her husband, Jean, became involved in the Cayucos Lions and Lioness clubs where they continue to do many good things for the community.

On the company's first anniversary, Sandy and Jean invited us to their house for a gourmet meal they prepared. Thus we became aware of their legendary entertainer status in Cayucos.

While admiring their artwork, I noticed a familiar looking object on the fireplace mantle. It was an Emmy. Jean had won an Emmy for his technical work on the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles.
